When we first connected on Hinge in 2021, we were both skeptical of online dating. However, the pandemic presented both of us with few options for meeting new people. So we each took a chance - and looking back we’re thrilled that we did! We immediately stood out to one another upon connecting. Jamie was captivated by Julianna, and she was charmed by his friendly approach and easy conversation.

Jamie was eager to make a good first impression. So much so that he agreed to Julianna’s request for an initial FaceTime date. What he didn’t know was that she wanted to see what he looked like first - she couldn’t tell from his profile since all of his photos were group shots!! Luckily they immediately hit it off, and an in-person date was set.

Jamie picked Julianna up from her childhood home, braving the fact that her Mom or Dad could potentially answer the door. As luck would have it, only Julianna answered (as her parents retreated to the basement at her request!). Jamie was immediately stunned by her beautiful smile. From there the months and years flew by, all of them FUN.

Jamie: I knew early on that Julianna was extraordinary and like no one I had ever met. She was talented, gentle, family-oriented, and kind to her core. Needless to say I was invested, so I invited her to a second date the very next day!

Julianna: Before I met Jamie, I was frustrated with dating and realized I needed to focus on the qualities I was looking for in a partner (kindness, same sense of humor, and making me feel safe). I don’t say lightly that Jamie exceeds all of these qualities and he happens to be very handsome too! I truly feel so lucky to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

We’ve shared 3+ wonderful years together full of adventures: skiing various East Coast mountains, travelling throughout Europe, spending restful winter nights with a movie & a puzzle, and trying to find the best seafood everywhere we go.

We’ve heard it said by others that they chose their significant other because of shared interests or common pursuits. For us, it was a feeling that we complemented one another so well as to form a remarkable team & bond. Put another way, “when it’s right, it’s right!”
